Slippery Otter Pub in West Yellowstone

Nice casual restaurant and atmosphere. Elk burger was delicious as well as the Bison burger. Only thing I was disappointed in was the kids pizzas. Even though they were shaped like bears there was only a small glob of sauce and cheese right in the center only. My child is 10 and it didn't come close to filling him up and lacked a moderate amount of cheese and sauce. Otherwise, we recommend and would eat here again, but just order our child another meal.

Food looks very good but the taste isn’t that great. I tried wings, pizza, fish and chips and Wontons. Only wontons tastes good. I dont recommend this place if you are coming only for food other than drinks. Not many options around the west gate yellowstone. So I gave 3 star for this.

Excellent beer list. Pizza was good. Corona virus has made the table wait and service Very slow. All in all a good choice though for the area.

My husband enjoyed the Buffalo burger and I had a tastey chicken salad. The service was fast and correct. I was pleased and would definitely recommend this place. They had a kids menu.

Party of 7... waiter finally arrived and took our order. A few tried the bison burger and it wasn't great. A bit undercooked, not that we were asked how we'd like them, but a bit too rare. Definitely appeared to be frozen pre-formed patties. 8" pepperoni pizza was pretty good. Expected better overall given where we are. Overpriced considering the quality of the food and service. We won't be back.

We loved our experience at the Slippery Otter! They had a great selection of beer and delicious food. If a server named Justin is there, he is fantastic!!

My salad had dirt in it, and I ordered a gluten free beet burger that came on a regular gluten bun. Asked about deserts to celebrate a birthday and waiter said he would look in to it, but that they don't make any desserts. Never heard back. Bison burgers were a hit though.

This place has amazing food and the most friendly servers! We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, totally worth it. The staff was so kind and made us feel heard, the food was amazing and very fresh. Bathrooms were extremely clean and The whole place is family friendly.

Steak salad was absolutely delicious, they have phenomenal French onion soup. They also have a great selection of beers the Moose Drool is to die for.

Their pizza was really good! Service was also very friendly even late at night! Few places in West Yellowstone stay open late, so this place is a great option.

Nice little restaurant in West Yellowstone, when visiting the parks all day, this is a great place to stop. Plenty of seating even with Covid distancing in place. The wait wasn't that long for this town. The food was prepared the way we asked and received it hot even with a lot open people there in the evening. The staff was great and friendly. If your looking for a variety of different dishes, this is a great option.

Amazing Jalapeño Wontons!! They give you what I think is a Raspberry sauce which complements it wonderfully. These will haunt me because I live so far away and want more already! Their kitchen is open until 11 which there weren't any other places in the area that seemed to be open for us to get food when we were coming to town late. Good service! Great place highly recommend.

Good food and great, friendly service. We had a large group and nobody left with a frown. Burgers are their specialty and that's what everyone went with. Some of our group were more adventurous and went with bison, elk, or lamb burgers, to which all gave a thumbs up.

Fantastic food! Would be 5 star, no doubt. Only gripe is I wish they had a few more options. It’s either burgers or pizza. What you get is delicious, however, and the beer is super!

I always stop here when I pass through for their amazing elk and bison burgers. The fries servings are generous and service is generally quick and friendly. I recommend that you give them a try.

Excellent Service! Had the fish and chips and the fish was so thin and fried too long, fries were soggy. Salads were excellent and burgers are very good.

They had a killer beer selection and the food was pretty dope. Juicy burgers and excellent service, plus they gave my baby love. It was a nice place to eat and recharge after a long day of hiking at Yellowstone.

Amazing food, great service. Their kitchen's open late night, which was a big plus. After a long day of hiking in the Yellowstone, this restaurant was probably the only one that was still serving dinner past 10pm. It was quite busy as even at that hour we had a wait time of 10-15 mins. The pizzas was top notch and their chicken strips/tenders are a must have.

Delicious premium food and excellent beer selection! Well worth the wait! they will call your cell phone so you can put your name in do a little shopping and come back and grab some great grub!

Good hostess, nice people and staff. Slightly limited menu, definitely pub food not much else. Wine and beer only but their prices especially for a wine we're better than most in the area. Would go again.

Waaay overpriced. They charge 50cents for hot sauce. Charged $8 for a kid cheese pizza that is super tiny. Half the size of ur standard personal pizza. A side of broccoli was $4. Food was not bad. Just over priced.

Visiting Yellowstone and staying at a hotel within walking distance. This was a good choice for our first night. Low key, good beer, decent food. Great service! They seem to stay pretty busy.

Fantastic! My fiancé ordered the pepper burger and absolutely loved it. I ordered the angus burger and my great grandmother ordered the fish and chips, all tasted great. Not to mention, our waiter checked on us more than 5 times to make sure we were happy with everything. I highly recommend stopping here, if you’re in the area.

I had fish and chips and my wife had a burger. Both were awesome. Great hand cut fries. Would definitely eat here again.

We enjoyed this spot so much! The lamb burger and local beer were wonderful. Our waiter Justin was funny and helpful.

Absolutely fantastic! We got the bison burger with sweet potato fries and the angus burger with Idaho potato fries and it did not disappoint!! Great bar seating with quick service and a very nice bartender. She was fast and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going to this place for dinner- they did have a 20 min wait for tables but the bar seating was easy for us being 2 people and not needing a more formal dinner table. Either way worth the wait for the food and service.

Elk burger was great. Pizza was good as well. Everything we ordered was good and it didn't feel like it was a tourist trap even if it really is. If you have been staying in the park and eating park food this place will be 100x better.

The food was alright. I expexted more from a $32 steak. The fries were good! They are kid friendly.

This Yellowstone resort town had some interesting late night options, but the Slippery Otter had by far the best beer selection (20+). Pizza was solid!

I have enjoyed some pretty good burger places and this establishment is definitely a contender. The food is served hot and delicious, the servings are overly generous. The wait staff is friendly and efficient.

Life saver! With everything else in West Yellowstone closing at 10 pm this was the only place open when we got to town late. Best French Fries! Everyone was nice and they offered to go orders which not a lot of places had. Food was delicious and they had a wide variety of options.

Great service and excellent food. A far cry from our experience at Bullwinkles the evening before. Slippery Otter really has good homemade food and the owner is always on the move taking care of customers and helping her staff. I had the steak salad it was good. My son had elk burger and it was excellent as was the soup. Jesse our awesome waitress recommend the jalapeno wontons and they were excellent as well. Great selection of local beers. Go here first while in west Yellowstone

The burgers were good, the beer was great! Service was friendly. The server recommended the jalapeno and cream cheese wantons that are served with huckleberry syrup, they were good (not quite spicy enough for this group from the southwest) and had a very interesting flavor!

Not recommended. Salads come with hardly any dressing so that you have to order more for cost, fountain soda is $3 a glass, chicken strips are twigs, only good thing was the wonton puffs. Nicole and dime, over price as much as possible is the motto here.

The food here is really great! We shared a gluten free Hercules pizza, the order came out correct and rather quickly! It tasted really good! We got a side of fries and they were homemade, very good as well. Little one got the chicken strips and they were great! I felt that the prices were a little high. The quality of food was great but we didn't see our waiter too much. Originally, he forgot the little ones apple juice and someone else brought it out to us. Over all, great food, great location to Yellowstone, quick service but the waiter for got an item and we didn't see him much when we needed something.

The host was not polite and not good at gauging wait times. We were told 15-20 minutes and it was over a half hour while most of the restaurant was empty. Scheduling more servers would be beneficial. Once we were sat, it took over ten minutes before our server came over. She put a few receipts on the table to organize, I think, and sighed before talking to us and taking our order. She just seemed tired mentally. I got the vegan burger, it took 20 minutes. It was not cooked the best and it tasted like they didn't even add any seasonings to the burger. I'm from Tucson and have worked at restaurants for years and none of this would have ever been acceptable. Long story short, I know I'm weird because I time everything but service and food was not good. The reason I'm giving them three stars is because I appreciate that they do offer a vegan options, even if it isn't a very good one.

The fries were perfectly crispy but the sauce on the BBQ bacon burger left me wanting more. The wait staff was incredibly friendly. Slippery Otter doesn't stand out too much among the brewpub crowd in West Yellowstone, but it is still a great place to pick up a good burger.

Great place with great selections. Wide variety of beer. Try a flight of their many beers. Reasonable wine prices. The french onion soup is awesome. Salads and pizza are also great choices. Burgers are flavorful, not dry. Fun atmosphere and well managed. One of the nicest places in West Yellowstone. A must stop for lunch or dinner. Hang out in the shift easy chairs on front of fireplace and have a beer.

Wow! I walked in and greeted immediately by a staff member. Ask me how was my day and am I enjoying my visit, etcetera. Fast services and quality food to match. Great beer on tap and I am RUM guy but when I do drink a beer I will be sure it’s from the Slippery Otter....BTW COVID distancing. The best I’ve seen in town

The lamb burger and fries were great! The bison and elk burgers as well as the steak were dry. All in all nothing special, but decent if you need a place to eat

Due to COVID-19 we didn't get the opportunity to sit and eat as it was a 1 hour wait at 8 pm. We did, however, get dinner to go and it was excellent. My wife and I both had fish and chips. The fish was crunchy and moits, the chips were tasty. We would love to come back when things are a bit more normal to try out the table service.
